ADCO Electric is headquartered in Mississippi, holding licenses and engineering registrations in Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Arkansas, and Louisiana. We provide comprehensive electrical construction, engineering, testing, and maintenance and repair services across the Southeast.

Since 1978, we have been a trusted partner on more than 1,500 projects — from industrial facilities and athletic complexes to commercial buildings, churches, data centers, and schools. 1978
Founded
Whit Adams founded ADCO Electric in Jackson, Mississippi, building a company on a foundation of quality craftsmanship, engineering capability, and a commitment to delivering on every promise.
1979
A Family Business
Nancy Adams joined ADCO during her summer break from teaching to "help out" and never looked back. She became Executive Vice President and a central force behind the company's early growth and long-term success.
1984
Andy Hardin Joins
Andy Hardin came aboard as a draftsman and estimator, quickly proving his value across nearly every role in the company. He would go on to become Vice President in 2015 and remains a cornerstone of ADCO's leadership today.
1987
One Jackson Place
ADCO completed electrical work on One Jackson Place, one of the most prominent commercial office towers in downtown Jackson, cementing the company's reputation for delivering on major commercial construction projects.
2002
Baptist Cancer Center
ADCO completed the Mississippi Baptist Cancer Center, one of the most complex and meaningful healthcare projects in the company's history, demonstrating deep expertise in mission-critical electrical systems.
2005
Construction Man of the Year
Founder Whit Adams was named MABC Construction Man of the Year, a recognition of his leadership, integrity, and decades of contribution to the Mississippi construction industry.
2013
C Spire Data Center
ADCO completed electrical construction on the C Spire Data Center, showcasing the team's ability to deliver on the most technically demanding, high-stakes infrastructure projects in the region.
2018
Lamar Life Building Reno
The historic Lamar Life Building renovation brought ADCO into one of Jackson's most iconic structures, a complex, detail-intensive project that called on the full depth of the team's construction and project management capabilities.
2025
Still Building Strong
With the completion of Hope Credit Union and the promotion of Corey Meloling to General Superintendent, ADCO enters its fifth decade still growing, still winning awards, and still guided by the values that built the company from day one.

THE LEADERSHIP TEAM

Whit Adams, PE
Founder & President
Whit founded ADCO Electric in 1978 with a vision for a contractor that combined technical excellence with genuine accountability. His leadership and values remain the foundation of everything ADCO does. Whit also played a foundational role in establishing the Mississippi ABC Apprenticeship Program in 1980, which evolved into the Mississippi Construction Education Foundation and continues to develop the skilled tradespeople that power ADCO's team today.
Nancy Adams, BS
Executive Vice President
Nancy joined ADCO in 1979 and became one of its most essential leaders. Her business acumen, dedication, and steady hand helped build ADCO from the ground up and shaped the culture that defines the company today.
Andy Hardin, BSME
Vice President
Andy joined ADCO in 1984 and has served in nearly every role — estimator, engineer, and project manager — before being named Vice President in 2015. His depth of experience and technical expertise make him a cornerstone of ADCO's operations.
